“My grandpa died in 2021 during Covid. We could only meet briefly at his grave and had no opportunity to remember the good times we all had with him. But shortly before that, I had expanded Meminto for exactly this purpose:
I invited my whole family to keep a record of some of Grandpa’s stories via computer and smartphone. The whole thing was guided by our specially created Meminto collection of questions relating to the life of a deceased loved one.
Wonderful anecdotes and sometimes ancient photos emerged that I and many others had never heard or seen before. An absolute treasure!
While answering the simple questions, I realized how many great moments we had together with our grandpa – but also what we would miss now!

What makes a memorial book special
The Meminto® Stories Memorial Book is created by you and optionally other participants. The focus is on the story of the deceased person and your experiences with them. Here’s how it works:
After purchasing a Memorial Book, we select 52 questions (examples below) that fit the deceased person. These can be easily answered in any web browser – or in the Meminto app.
The person who started the project can now invite friends and family to join in via email or messenger services such as WhatsApp.
Pictures can be uploaded for each answer to make the memento even more vivid. The questions can also be adapted, extended or deleted, making each Meminto Memorial Book absolutely unique.
Each participant can receive a weekly email containing the current question to inspire and motivate them to record another memory. You decide together when the book is finished (more than 52 questions can be answered. The limit is 300 pages per book).
The cover of the book can be designed fast and simple using over 40 templates; custom layouts are also possible. Simply select the quantity and send it off – done!
Production time: Approximately 8-12 days after print approval, you will hold a unique book with the most beautiful memories from your shared past with the deceased person in your hands

How much does a Meminto book cost?
Basically, a book with up to 100 pages costs $99. A book with up to 200 pages costs $129, and up to 300 pages is charged at $149, plus shipping and handling of about $10-$20.
Depending on which story you want to record, you will always find the prices for our books directly in the respective topic. So first select what you want to write about and then scroll to the section where you can order.
You can choose between a different number of pages for the book, add additional copies and also a digital copy. This ultimately affects the total price, which can be slightly different for each book.
How does Meminto work in detail?

How long can I work on a Meminto book?
You can work on your book for a total of 2 years. We will remind you once 6 months and the second time 30 days before the end of this period so that you don’t forget. If there is not enough time, you can extend the processing time by another 2 years for $25.90.
Are entered texts edited before printing?
We do not make any changes to the content of your answers and stories, but print what you have written.
Before you send your book to print, however, you have the option of booking a proofreading service. We will correct typos and spelling mistakes. The costs for proofreading are based on the amount of text to be checked and will be displayed transparently.
How will my privacy be protected?
Your privacy is very important to us. No one can see your answers unless you share them yourself. If you still want us to help you, you must allow access beforehand.
Even if you fill out your book together with other participants, you can set for each answer whether it should be visible only for you or for everyone.
Additionally, our 2-factor authentication protects your account. Even if your password is hacked, no one can log in to your account that easily.
We are aware of how sensitive your stories and the information they contain can be. Unlike other competitors, Meminto does not use any information for purposes other than creating the book. Your data will not be passed on or even sold. With Meminto, you can be sure that we treat your data with the utmost care.
