How do Meminto phone calls work?
After activation, you verify a phone number once and choose a weekly call time. Meminto then calls automatically with the next question from your book. During the call, you can answer immediately, ask to be called again in 30 minutes, delete the question or move to the next one. Your answer is recorded and saved with the matching question.

Does a Meminto employee or ghostwriter conduct the interview?
No. The Meminto system starts the call automatically and reads the next question from the storyteller’s own book. There is no human interviewer or ghostwriter; the story remains entirely in their own words.
Do I need a smartphone or the Meminto app during the call?
No. The call can be answered on a verified landline or mobile number. Only the one-time activation, number verification and scheduling take place in the Meminto account.
How is the phone number verified?
After the number is entered, Meminto sends a four-digit code by text message or automated call. Entering this code securely connects the number to the account.
Do I have to wait for the weekly call?
No. In addition to the scheduled weekly call, you can open a specific question page and click “Call”. Meminto will start a call for that question immediately.
What if the question or timing is not right?
During the call, you can ask to be called again in 30 minutes, delete the question or move to the next one. You can also answer the question immediately.
How long can an answer be?
The storyteller has up to ten minutes for the spoken answer. If there is a long period of silence, the system may end the recording earlier.
What happens to the recording after the call?
The audio file is saved with the matching book question. A family member can select “Transcribe” there with one click; Meminto Credits turn it into editable text. Meminto AI can then remove fillers and turn spoken phrasing into clear, natural written language on request, while the original recording remains available.
Does the phone feature cost extra?
Yes. The phone feature costs extra alongside the book, and transcription uses Meminto Credits. The current terms are shown before activation.
